"Tree for a T"

For the 2022 event, we are giving entrants the option to decline having a t-shirt and instead, for every entrant who declines to have a technical t-shirt, the Parish Walk will donate £5 to the Isle of Man Woodland Trust.
£5 will buy a sapling, stake and protective tube therefore one t-shirt equals 1 new tree!
Not only does declining a t-shirt reduce the pollution associated with its production and transportation but also this initiative will increase the number of trees planted on the Isle of Man. This in turn will reduce CO2 and off-set the unavoidable production of carbon waste that the race generates.
When entering the event, upon reaching the "Event T-Shirt Options" field, select "Donate" rather than choosing a colour.
This is just one of the schemes that we, as Parish Walk organisers, are introducing for the 2022 event and further announcements to this end will follow in the new year.
